HOW TO PLAY RADIO AND MP3'S ON THE UNIVERSITY COMPUTERS
This looks long but really it isn't!
Right you will only have to do steps 1-8 once to listen to MP3's and radio! (That is if you want to)
1) First get yourself to Winamp.com and choose version 2 or 3 it really does not matter a jot.
2) Download the file into either c:/user-files or your U: drive if you have space (I recommend using your C: drive as this is just the file to install the proggy
3) Go to where you saved the file (either c:/user-files or U: drive
4) Double click on the saved file. It will be called something like winamp3_0-full.exe
5) This will begin to set up the installation. Agree to the licence then click next and keep clicking next until its finished asking you.
6) Now if you never want to have to go through this faff again then save it in you U: drive. If not it doesn't matter you can still save it in c:/user-files
7) Ok now the program is installed you can listen to MP3's or the radio
8) If you need the space you can delete the winamp3_0-full.exe file now
8) A load of good radio stations are at Winamp Radio www.shoutcast.com
9) Choose one you want to listen to and when the box comes up to open it, DON'T!!! save it to a place where you can remember (you can rename it if you want so you can use it at another time).
10) Now it is time to use winamp. While the cursor is pointing on the top bar of the program, RIGHT CLICK and select play and select file (or you can skip all that and just press the letter L)
11) Find where the file with the radio station information is and open it.
12) TA-DA! You should have a working radio station. Some radio stations may not work but that's life and you still can't listen to BBC nevermind.
13) Hope you found what you wanted with this. Let me know if you used it.
